Knowledge Base Question
Hello everyone! I've uploaded some Excel documents (which I later converted into PDFs) to the VoiceFlow knowledge base section. However, it seems that the bot isn't grasping the information well and is giving messy responses to user queries. Can anyone recommend a more effective method for the bot to understand the data stored in local files?

To improve the way your bot understands and responds to queries based on the data stored in local files, consider the following method:
- Ensure you've converted your Excel documents to PDFs, as you've done, and upload them to the Knowledge Base in Voiceflow. This allows your AI Assistant to use these documents to answer questions via GPT.
- Use the 'Add Data Source' option to upload your PDFs, URLs, or Text files. Remember, there's a 10mb file limit per upload.
- After uploading, use the 'Preview' feature to test your Assistant's responses to various queries. This helps in assessing the accuracy of responses and making necessary adjustments.
- The Knowledge Base works by turning uploaded documents into 'chunks' of text, which are then used to generate responses to user queries. This process involves parsing the documents, retrieving relevant chunks, and combining them with the query to generate an answer.
For a more effective understanding by the bot, ensure the documents are clear, well-structured, and relevant to the queries you expect. Additionally, regularly updating and refining the documents in your Knowledge Base can help improve response accuracy over time.

is there an option to use an external API?
VF isn't optimised for table based KBs but they are looking to improve this.

I'm also finding the knowledge base component a bit challenging. Even the simplest of qeustions, on a single URL, don't work.

I will note that the assitant I defined is in Hebrew, but I tested this in Hebrew too, and it doens't work.

I watched now https://youtube.com/watch?v=iQJ9ecSwHxg&si=Gq4pWCVZatsOEDlb and realized that the scraper did not manage to scrape anything....I just uploaded a PDF print of the same page and it worked. This should really be highlighted somewhere prominent, @Tico | Voiceflow Assistant ...I imagine many newcomers will need this info,
