Response AI works well with KB (https://general-runtime.voiceflow.com/knowledge-base/query and API). but when I add new information to the KB, it cannot find the answer. How can I fix this?

To address the issue of new information not being found in the Knowledge Base (KB) after adding it, follow these steps: 1. Ensure Proper Upload: Verify that the new information has been correctly uploaded to the KB. Navigate to the Knowledge Base tab within the Content section of the dashboard and check the status of the data source. 2. Set Refresh Rate: Make sure the refresh rate for the data source is set appropriately. You can choose from options like "Never" or "Daily" to ensure the information is up-to-date. 3. Preview Responses: Use the 'Preview' feature to simulate potential user interactions. Enter a query representative of actual user questions and check if the AI retrieves the correct information. This helps in assessing and refining the AI's responses. 4. Check Data Source Status: Ensure that the data source status is active and ready for AI referencing. This can be found in the Data Source Status section, which provides real-time updates. 5. Adjust KB Settings: Fine-tune the KB settings through the Settings modal. Adjust parameters like Model, Temperature, Max Tokens, Instructions, and Chunk Limit to optimize the AI-generated responses. 6. Evaluate and Refine: After previewing the responses, review the sources listed under the 'Sources' section to verify that the AI is pulling data from the correct segments. Iterate and refine the data sources, tweak AI model settings, or adjust the information within the KB as needed. By following these steps, you can ensure that new information added to the KB is accurately retrieved and used in AI responses.
