Agent hand off to client

Hey guys, I have a question about the tokenization. I build a chatbot for client, but I see that there are some changes with credit usage instead of the old way as was in voiceflow. How to transfer this chatbot to the client so that they can pay for tokens themselves. Do they need to make theirs voiceflow account, do they have to buy subscription or they can buy tokens, and how is it working when they ran out of tokens? Thank you so much 🙏

Hey! Here’s how hand-off & billing works with the new credit system: 1️⃣ Give the assistant to your client • Export the project ( ▸ three-dot menu ▸ Export .vf ) and send them the file – they can Import it into their own workspace. • OR copy the Clone link from the same menu and share it – they’ll get their own copy instantly. • OR move the project into a brand-new workspace and make your client the Owner (Workspace ▸ Members).
Once the project sits in a workspace your client controls, they’ll be responsible for all usage/billing in that workspace. 2️⃣ What your client needs • They’ll sign up for a Voiceflow plan (Starter, Pro, Business or Enterprise).
• Every plan includes a fixed pool of credits each month – credits pay for user messages, LLM tokens, TTS/STT, call minutes, etc.
• Extra credits cannot be bought à-la-carte today; if they need more they upgrade to a higher credit tier/plan. 3️⃣ When credits run out • Email alerts fire at 50 %, 75 %, 90 % and 100 % of the monthly credit limit. • Hitting 100 % pauses the agent until the workspace is upgraded or the next billing cycle starts. So the flow is: You hand over the project → client imports into their own workspace & selects a plan → their workspace credits cover all future LLM/hosting costs. Thats pretty bad to be honest. For example im making chatbot for dental clinic in czech republic. If they can buy only subscription than its super ineffective for them. First of all 60 dollars per month for 10k tokens is pretty expensive, when I was testing some of my chatbots it ate me 100 tokens very fast (very few tests). So paying around 60dollars per month only to run the chatbot with not that many tickets per day is super expensive... And second of all if they need lets say like 17k tokens per month and they have to buy subscription for 120 dollars with 20k tokens per month than those remaining 3k tokens will be for nothing ... I love Voiceflow and have learned practically everything there is to know about creating professional looking/functional chatbots and voicebots, but this price is too high and unrealistic for me to sell these assistants to clients from vf.. if I tell them how much monthly they have to pay only for running those assistants ...
