Project Import Fail
Hi, I'm new to Voiceflow. When I try to import a project, it fails and says
Import failed, please try again. If the issue continues, contact our customer support team, or report an issue.
The report an issue is a hyperlink that fails and redirects to https://docs.voiceflow.com/docs/get-help?_gl=1*n7j96u*_gcl_au*MTM5MjE3MTA5My4xNzUzNzQ5MTk2LjE5MzQwMjY1MzIuMTc1NDg3MzE4OS4xNzU0ODczMjI3*_ga*OTU5OTg5NjAwLjE3NTM3NTA1MDk.*_ga_1NT1L04113*czE3NTQ5NTQ2MzUkbzEwJGcxJHQxNzU0OTU0NzMwJGozMiRsMCRoOTYxMDc1MDY0
Please help fix so I can import and export projects.
Thank you.

Hey – here are the most common things that cause the generic “Import failed, please try again” message and how to fix them:
1. Make sure you’re uploading a .vf file
Voiceflow will only accept files that were exported from Voiceflow and still have the .vf extension (created via Dashboard • … • Download (.vf) or from inside the project – see docs). Any other format, or a file that was renamed/zipped, will trigger the error. https://docs.voiceflow.com/docs/importing-or-exporting-projects-and-functions#importing-projects 2. Check if the project is from the old “Voice-only” editor
Projects built before Voiceflow became multimodal need a quick conversion step. Drop the original file into the Legacy Voice → Chat converter and then import the converted file: https://creator.voiceflow.com/convert-voice-to-chat 3. Re-export the source project
Sometimes the original export didn’t finish cleanly. Open the source assistant, export it again as a .vf file, and retry the import. 4. Try from a fresh browser tab / incognito
A cached session or browser extension can occasionally interrupt larger uploads. After the file imports successfully you can also export it anytime from the Dashboard (… → Download (.vf)) or from inside the canvas (Voiceflow logo → Download). Give those steps a try and let me know how it goes! If the same .vf still won’t upload after re-exporting and (if needed) converting, share any extra details (file size, when it was originally built, browser you’re using) and we can dig deeper.

I tried all these but didn't work.
