Intent Classification Settings
hi guys, some days ago, i discovered, that you can change the settings for your intents. i wanted to try out some different things, and when i changed the settings to the hybrid version, it didnt let me go back to my previous settings and the interface doesnt look like on the picture anymore ... is this a legacy feature? what do you recommend anyways?

Hi there!
• Voiceflow currently supports two intent-classification modes: 1. “Classify using Natural Language Understanding (NLU)” – the classic NLU-only model (enabled by default for every new project). 2. “LLM Intent Classification (Hybrid)” – blends the NLU result with an LLM re-ranking step for higher accuracy with fewer utterances.
• When you switched to the Hybrid option the Intent page adds extra fields (model, temperature, prompt wrapper…), so the layout no longer matches older screenshots – that’s expected and not a legacy feature.
• You can switch back at any time:
1. Open Intents › Settings (gear icon in the header).
2. Under Intent classification pick “Classify using Natural Language Understanding (NLU)”.
3. Save. The extra LLM settings disappear and you’re back to the original NLU-only view.
• Which mode to use? • Choose Hybrid (LLM) when you have very few utterances per intent or you need the LLM’s broader language coverage.
• Stay on NLU-only when you already have good training data and want the lowest latency / cost.
• Whichever you pick, you can preview the classification results with the Preview button on the Intent page before going live.

Hope this clears things up – let me know if you need anything else!
