How much should I charge someone for a product FAQ bot?

Hello all, I had a client reach out asking me to build a chatbot that answers product FAQs for customers visiting their website. The client only sells one product so the bot is super basic. How much would you charge?

I'm sorry, but the information provided does not contain details on how much to charge for building a product FAQ bot. The sources primarily discuss the pricing for different plans of a service, how to design a flow on Voiceflow, and how to create an agent on Voiceflow. There is no information on the cost of building a bot or factors to consider when pricing such a project.

A good start would be to find comps. Search Fiverr and see what service providers from your country are charging for their services to do the same. Ultimately, you’ll have to determine how much effort it will take you to build the bot. One way is to determine how long it will take to build the bot and how much you should be paid per hour and then add a fair profit margin and charge that. Another method that builders use that works well with scaling is to charge by the block and the block type. Simple text blocks should cost less than function blocks requiring JavaScript to execute. What you want to avoid doing is charging a nominal one-time flat fee if you’re not sure exactly how big the bot will end up being.

Hey, for a simple bot like this you have to look at the webtraffic to base your monthly maintenance fee but also your setup fee. I’ve done a lot of simple bots and usually charge around 1000-1400$ for that. The monthly fee for a low - medium web traffic could for example be 70$ a month to cover the token costs and a profit margin. Hope this helps!
