Send SMS during a call

Howdy, Agent Builders!

Has anyone built an Agent that can send text messages during a call?

Use case: My client's scheduling system doesn't have an API that I can access so I'm thinking of a scenario where the Agent answers the call and based on their response (I want to "schedule an appointment"), the link to schedule an appointment is sent to their phone number...

I'm not done yet, but I am building out one that has a Tool that connects via API to SlickText during the call. If the tool succeeds in sending the number to SlickText, then SlickText does its thing and sends the booking link over. It also tracks clicks/usage.

Get it figured out before now?

Sure. You add a Tool (API or MCP) to the Agent step to send a text.

Hi, you could use a direct API call with a text sending tool that has good enough API documentation.
If there isn't good API documentation, you might want to connect your agent to Make or any automation tool by API, and in your flow you connect your text sending platform.
