Creating an app with voice recognition exclusively for mobile devices
I'm looking to create a digital teacher to help stimulate the learning experience of my students. Instead of integrating a voice recognition service, I would simply like to use the native ASR features present on most mobile devices. I am new here, and I was actually just hoping to get an opinion from someone with more experience using Voiceflow. If I create an app that is exclusive for mobile devices, would this bypass the need for voice recognition integration?

While Voiceflow does offer a suite of APIs to launch and host AI Agents, it's important to note that the use of native ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) features on mobile devices would depend on the specific capabilities of the device and the operating system it uses.
Voiceflow's platform is flexible and can be used with any underlying technology, including native ASR features. However, the implementation of these features would be outside of Voiceflow's control and would need to be handled within the app development process.
For a more detailed understanding of how ASR can be used with Voiceflow, you can refer to our guide on using the Whisper API to simulate a custom speech recognition service here.
