bug in voice input recognition
Hello Community. I am faced with a strange situation that I cannot explain, and I hope some of you can make sense of it.
I am an early learner in Voiceflow and am currently exploring building voice apps. I already have a fully effective prototype. The bot asks questions and captures the user's answers with fluidity, listening to the user's voice. Then, it abruptly stopped. No sound is captured in Voiceflow anymore; no voice input is recognized. Either on the desktop app on Mac or in the browser.
Then since a new series of tests, voice inputs are recognised when I am in a browser but nothing in the app. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but it did not change anything.
Does anyone have an idea where it could come from?

Voiceflow's platform is designed to create conversational interfaces that are intuitive and natural for users. It allows for different types of user input, including voice inputs. However, it seems you're experiencing an issue where voice input is not being recognized in the desktop app, but it is working in the browser.
This could be due to a variety of reasons. It could be a bug in the desktop app, or it could be related to the settings on your Mac. It's also possible that there might be an issue with the microphone settings on your Mac, or the app's permissions to access the microphone.
As you've already tried reinstalling the app without success, it might be helpful to check the microphone settings on your Mac and ensure that the Voiceflow app has the necessary permissions to access the microphone.
If the issue persists, it might be beneficial to reach out to the community for further assistance, as they might have encountered similar issues and could provide more specific solutions.

Hi Claire, the desktop app is now deprecated in favor of the web app and we are no longer updating it.
We've pushed a new update on the ASR engine to better support speech to text within the browsers.
