Agent searching knowledge base multiple times

I think this has only started happening so maybe it's my settings but I can't tell why. When I ask the agent a question (I'm using the agent step) the knowledge base tool is called 4 times and seems to create an 'ai result' each time but it doesn't actually respond until after the 4th run. Anyone else run into this?
