To download your Voiceflow project as a .vf file, you need to create a backup of your project. Here's how you can do it:
Go to your project in Voiceflow.
Look for the 'Backups' option in the menu.
Under the 'Backups' menu, select 'Download' to receive a project export (.vf) of your assistant content.
Please note that this action will download a .vf file of your assistant content that can be imported on the dashboard to create a new assistant.
Now, to import this .vf file into a new project, follow these steps:
Navigate to your workspace Dashboard.
Select the 'Import .vf file' icon. This will bring up your computer's file navigation/upload menu.
Select the .vf file you just downloaded and click 'Open'.
Once your assistant file is imported, a notification will appear on the top right of your screen. You can choose to open the assistant from here with the 'Open Assistant' button.
Remember, you should only upload files with a .vf file extension in its file name. This is usually obtained from exporting an Assistant file (JSON) on the assistant-level sharing menu.
This feature allows for designers and teams to collaborate on assistants with their own separate & local versions of the assistant. It also allows for debuggers, testers, or support functions to work with a separate version of your assistant that they can import into their workspaces to debug or test.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
